Acting as a sampler for the reignited South London Indie, the album features the cream of the current indie / leftfield crop, where established artists like SONIC BOOM and ECHOBOY rub shoulders with new stars on the block like THE EARLIES and TUUNG. Kicking off the album is Canadian duo THE BESNARD LAKES whose recent Earworm album "Volume 1" attained great press on both sides of the pond. Think My Bloody Valentine, Bardo Pond meet Mazzy Star. Next up are THE WOODCRAFT FOLK, one man record at home artist whose gorgeously crafted -musically and visually- 200 copy album of home recorded electronica / folk crossover pop again amassed rave reviews of 5 stars outta' 5 proportions earlier this summer. The album is soon to appear on Earworm, a taster from which is included here. Next up come London band THE EIGHTEENTH DAY OF MAY with an exclusive track which showcases perfectly their fabulous brand of psychedelic folk pop. Following that is a killer take on the Suicide classic "Girl" by Michigan space rockers FUXA in collaboration with SONIC BOOM. A fantastic version debuting here. Up next come THE EARLIES who contribute the long unavailable "Ride". Previously released as a B side to their 200 copy only debut 45, thankfully being made available to a wider audience here. TUNNG are, arguably THE underground band of the moment, having had several majors frothing at the mouth following the stunning debut album on Static Caravan late last year. The incredible "Jay Down" is unique to this compilation and looks likely to be their final appearance before signing for the big boys. ECHOBOY recently released his first post Mute album for Earworm, the magical "Elektrik Soul Psymphonie", a track from which appears here. More stunning kraut grooves and a perfect intro to his full length for the newcomer to his work. Sub Pop's master psych noise masters KINSKI follow that with a slow building epic that gives way to THE THURSDAY CLUB's gorgeously melodic "Lay Me Down". Acclaimed Canadian pop geniuses THE HIDDEN CAMERAS give their debut CD "Ecce Homo" a first vinyl airing on Earworm later this year, "Mild Mannered Army" shows again the song writing prowess of mainman Joel Gibb. Closing the album are the fabulous FLOTATION TOY WARNING, a gorgeous, melancholic ending to a wonderful album.
